Meet the Executive Director,
Steve Austin

With over 30 years in senior living, Steve Austin has served as Nursing Home Administrator, Assisted Living Administrator, Home Health Administrator, and Executive Director in larger Continuing Care Retirement communities across Oregon, Florida, and Colorado.

Notable achievements include implementing a chef-led food program to enhance residents' dining experiences, initiating an annual Strategic Planning Process for long-term growth, and designing a leadership development initiative to promote collaboration and excellence within his teams.

Steve's dedication and innovative leadership make him a valuable asset in creating enriching experiences for both residents and team members.

Team Member Training

Team member training is crucial in senior living as it ensures team members are well-equipped to provide high-quality care and support to residents. Proper training enhances employees' understanding of residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs, fostering a safe and compassionate environment.

"I rented a one bedroom apartment and just loved it. The rooms were spacious and it was a terrific layout. Housekeeping was very accommodating to my sleep schedule (I’m a night owl, so tend to sleep late), and they did a wonderful job every two weeks. The food varied quite a bit and the chef was very open to suggestions. I didn’t take advantage of all the social activities, but that was mostly because I tended to sleep in most days. All of the residents I met were friendly and willing to share their life experiences. It was great having a parking garage, an indoor pool, and on-site physical therapy. The staff? Oh my! You couldn’t ask for nicer people. I just loved St. Andrews and enthusiastically recommend it!"
